Gorsuch – Why Every Business Owner Should Support Him.
Every American business owner run, do not walk, to the phone/computer and call or email your senator. Make it clear to them they must confirm Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court of the United States. Despite the media buzz, Judge Gorsuch is eminently qualified to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court. The Chicago Sun-Times called the nomination an “uncharacteristic moment of sound judgement” from President Trump and declared Gorsuch deserves confirmation by Republicans and Democrats alike.
Not Pro-Labor, Not Anti-Labor
But, why is this particular nominee so worthy of the support of America’s business owners? The answer is not that he is a “corporate tool” or “no friend of the little guy“. Quite the contrary, he has a clear record of not being a “friend” of any group. Specifically, in the Labor Law arena, he has not shown a pro-labor nor an anti-labor bias.
His loyalties lie with the law. Long-serving senator Orin Hatch (R) of Utah said, “An impartial judge focuses on … applying the law, according to objective rules. In this way, the law—rather than the judge—determines the outcome“. The nominees own words – “Judges shouldn’t act as “secret legislators” who interpret the law however they like”. GREAT news for over-burdened American businesses! Relief after the last administration buried them with regulation and agency overreach costing tens of thousands of dollars per employee.
Gorsuch criticized the NLRB and their actions which were not authorized under the law. He called out the Board for acting outside the National Labor Relations Act in “frustration with … limits on its … powers.”
Praise from The Left for Gorsuch
Noted liberal Harvard Law professor Jonathan Turley said Gorsuch is “the gold standard for a nominee.” Many in the liberal-leaning mainstream media praised the nominee. Andrea Mitchell called Gorsuch’s hearing a “slam dunk.” Joe Scarborough called him “masterful.” Willie Geist said his professionalism was unquestionable. Brian Williams declared “tough to lay a glove on this guy”. The American Bar Association gave him a rating of “well-qualified.”
Gorsuch is not pro-business. He is not pro-labor. He is fair. After the last eight years, a move back toward the middle – toward fair – is a huge win for American businesses and the American people.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
